Are you an Occupational Therapist experienced in working with children with ASD and other complex needs?
Would you like to contribute towards, and help develop a Regional Wellbeing & Clinical Hub covering leading SEN schools, residential homes, fostering agencies and adult services?
If so, we have the role for you!
This is an exciting, new opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our North West team, covering schools, residential homes, fostering agencies and adult services across the North West from Stockport to Preston / Lancashire. An ideal opportunity for those who would be excited by creating a nationally important resource with the substantial backing of a leading provider of education and care for children, young people, and adults with complex needs
About the Role
You will be responsible for providing individual, specialist assessments and carrying out informed interventions to meet the occupational, physical, and sensory needs of our children, young people, and adults at a universal, targeted and specialist level. This will include the provision of direct one-to-one sessions or group activities as part of the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
As directed by the Clinical Lead the role will also involve the provision of advice, information and training to staff, other members of the clinical/wellbeing and multi-professional teams, commissioners and other agencies regarding issues relevant to autism, learning difficulties, developmental trauma and associated conditions including children, young people and adults who present with behaviours which challenge.
Multi-professional working is essential to our aim to provide a high-quality service that promotes the wellbeing and interests of the children, young people and adults it supports. Collaborative working and integration of Occupational Therapy and therapy support within the day to day running of each provision is a key part of this role.
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for a committed and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the Outcomes First Group, providing therapy across the North West region. Someone with a holistic and integrated approach to care, education and clinical services would be perfect for this role.
HCPC registration and experience of working with children with ASD and other complex needs is essential. We are also looking for someone with post-graduate knowledge and preferably training in Sensory Integration therapy.
