Job Title: Childcare Worker - Term time only

Salary: up to £19,500 (up to £10.93 per hour)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Bramfield House School has the perfect opportunity for an experienced Children’s care worker to join our fantastic team in Halesworth. This is a term time position working Monday to Friday only!
As a Children’s care worker you will support our Teachers in taking a creative approach to teaching pupils with Social, Emotional, Mental health (SEMH) challenges, according to their educational needs, maximising children’s achievement, and ability to develop.

You just need to be motivated to inspire learning in children with varied and complex needs. Your work will be challenging and rewarding in equal measure and you will be working in a school where we maintain a strong safeguarding culture, where pupils are listened to, respected and involved in as many decisions as possible.
When it comes to looking after our children, we never settle for second best. We are looking for a Childcare workers, who can work with individual and small groups of children, preparing classrooms and materials, and building positive relationships with pupils to promote interaction and learning. Our Childcare worker’s offer essential support to our Teachers and could assist in the planning and delivery of lessons in a creative and positive setting.
Previous experience of working in a Care / SEN environment is desirable and excellent support skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. We need people who share our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.
Educated to GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, enjoy working as part of a team, and be genuinely motivated by helping every child to reach their potential.
Working 40 hours per week, the working pattern would be:
Monday – 8.00am to 4.00pm
Tuesday – 2.30pm to 10.00pm
Wednesday – 7.30am to 4.00pm
Thursday 2.30pm to 11.00pm
Friday – 7.30am to 3.00pm
Located in rural Suffolk, Bramfield House School is an independent residential special educational needs school for boys aged 7 – 16 years who have social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours.
