Job Title: Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher with Literacy Specialism
Location: New Barn School, Newbury
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum
Hours: 40 per week
Contract: Permanent, term-time only
We are looking for an experienced Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher to join our fantastic team at New Barn School, Newbury. As a Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will demonstrate expertise in developing Reading and Writing throughout the Primary Curriculum in a way that maximises children’s achievement and ability to develop.
This is a great opportunity for a Specialist who wants to raise attainment and achievement for children with varied and complex needs. Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN school would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.
Educated to Qualified Teacher Status, you will be calm, engaging, resilient, and have an innovative style of teaching, motivated by helping every child to reach their potential.
New Barn is a co-educational Ofsted ‘Good’ rated School. It offers a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum to 70 boys and girls, aged 6 – 19 years who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health complexities. There are 45 primary pupils and 25 secondary pupils. New Barn School takes full advantage of its beautiful settings and fosters a love for using the outdoor curriculum including forest school, farm experiences and horse riding. The School is within a commutable distance of Swindon, Oxford, Andover, Basingstoke and Reading and other surrounding towns and villages.
