About us

Options Malvern College is an exciting new venture that will be opening near Hanley Castle, Worcester. Working in partnership with the Outcomes First Group and Options Autism, the College will provide a Further Education experience for those aged 16- to 24-year-olds with autism, complex needs and learning disabilities.  The main aim of the College is to help its students prepare for adulthood and their next stage in life.

In a new purpose-built building, situated in acres of natural beauty, Malvern College will provide a varied, individualised curriculum to enable its students to gain vocational and independence skills to help them achieve their aspirations.  Our staff will work together as a cohesive team, to provide the very best experience for the students which will include practical activities, Maths, English and Digital Literacy. The curriculum will have a focus on individual targets, personal skills and enrichment which will include The Duke of Edinburgh Award. Some students will also take part in supported work experience, social enterprise programmes, and volunteering.

The College is now recruiting specialist staff to work with our fantastic students, including teachers, instructors, co professionals and estates staff. Training will be provided as well as on going supervision and support. We welcome applicants with practical skills including Horticulture, Practical Skills, Catering, Independence, and work skills.

For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to children, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.

About the role

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Answering calls and ensuring information received via mail, telephone or email is effectively processed or forwarded, ensuring high quality communication at all times.
  • Answering queries and providing accurate messages to ensure that all individuals are dealt with promptly and appropriately, with diplomacy and discretion.
  • Producing relevant school documents and typing correspondence.
  • Processing supplier invoices, including generating purchase orders on the electronic purchasing system.
  • Providing administration/clerical support for Syon Manor College
  • Assisting with compiling information packs for professional meetings.
  • Minute taking as required.
  • Update, modify and retrieve data on both manual and computerised systems, as required, working within the appropriate deadlines and highlighting discrepancies, in order to provide accurate and useable management information.
  • Ensure appropriate message/telephone options are correct for the college
  • Update/distribute staff internal phone lists as and when required.
  • Manage own effective personal development as part of the Company’s commitment to invest in staff as the key resource in the organisation.
  • Ensure you meet statutory responsibilities with regard to Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and other relevant legislation, and conform to professional and ethical requirements
