Senior RCW for Woodview Children’s Home

 

Job Title:    Senior Children’s Care Worker

Salary:        From £26,500 per annum; Dependent Upon Experience (includes 5 sleep ins per month)

Hours:         42.5 hours per week; plus on call duties (if needed)                                 

Contract:     Permanent

3 Dimensions are looking for a dynamic person to become a Senior Residential care worker in Axminster. The Children we look after are complex, have attachment issues, suffered trauma and rejection throughout their lives. We therefore require committed applicants that want to work and progress within the company.

You must be well organised, an inspiring leader who is forward-thinking, self-reflective and always researching ways to provide the best outcomes for Children and the drive to improve your knowledge and understanding through research and training.

A desire to build a sound knowledge of Children’s Homes regulations and Quality Standards is a must, with an in-depth understanding of Safeguarding Children.

A knowledge of PACE behaviour model will enable you to follow our Ethos, to provide positive behaviour management using a Conscious Parenting/PACE approach to enable Children make sense of their lives and thrive.

We run a high-quality home with a high staff ratio team of potentially up to 16 staff for whom you will assist the Registered Manager to lead and supervise. Managing the day to day running of the home to ensure the continuity of staff and their performance, using SMART targets. Ensuring that a nurturing and caring environment is provided for the children, by a well led and trained staff team who are encouraged to further their knowledge to meet the standards.

Applicants must have:

NVQ LEVEL 3 or 4 IN HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE FOR CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE or something to be considered equivalent and a willingness to achieve the above.

At least 2 years experience in a suitable setting.

Knowledge of legislation, regulations and inspection relating to young people in Care

Desirable:

Prior knowledge and experience of writing Placement Plans, Risk Assessments and Behaviour plans to reflect Local Authority Plans and required Outcomes in a clear concise, informative and timely manner with updates as necessary.
