About Us Meet Our Team

Richard Power

Chief Operating Officer for Education
Richard joined the group in 2018, previously having worked in sectors ranging from healthcare to financial services spanning both UK and global companies. His interests tend to revolve around, sport, food and travelling with his wife.

What I enjoy most about my role:

“The people! I can hand on my heart say that people working here want to do the right thing, treat each other well and genuinely care for the young people and adults we support. This, coupled with the days where you get to visit a service to see the hard work taking place, resulting in young people thriving and progressing, always allows me to end the week on an incredibly positive reflective note. We help make a difference!”

Lauren Wright

Managing Director

Lauren started in July 2006 as a Volunteer Support Worker at Waterloo Lodge School before moving into a full-time paid position as a Learning Support Assistant. After moving into an Unqualified Teacher position Lauren was sponsored by the company to take a teaching qualification. After qualifying she continued her career in education, becoming Head of English, then Assistant SENCO, SENCO, Deputy Head, Headteacher, Assistant Director of Education and Regional Director. After 15 with the business, Lauren is now Acorn Education and Care Managing Director.

What I enjoy most about my role:

“My role is so varied and diverse.  I have enjoyed progressing throughout the years and still get to visit the schools and other sites to see what is happening and how our young people are progressing.”

Alison Blyth-Bishop

Director of Care

Alison has worked in the care sector since 2001 in both public and private settings.  She joined Outcomes First Group in 2019 and worked up to Director of Care in 2021.  Alison’s passion is working with young people breaking down the myths of residential care and getting great outcomes, and truly believe in consultation and engagement with both our adults and our young people.

What I enjoy most about my role:

“I work with amazing people that truly aspire for our young people to achieve the best, within an organisation which promotes a positive vision and culture for all as ONE TEAM.”
