Maple Grove School is a brand new school for the group, set to open its doors to pupils in September 2020. Based in the Chester suburb of Hoole, Maple Grove will provide 36 specialist day placements for learners aged 5-16 who are the autism spectrum, and who may have a range of additional learning, medical or developmental needs. Headteacher Ben Reading, and the newly appointed staff team, have been busily preparing classrooms and curriculum resources, ready to welcome their first students. The 110 year old building in which Maple Grove is based has been fully restored and remodelled to provide a carefully designed, low stimulus learning environment with a range of flexible learning spaces in which the school’s ASC-specific curriculum will be delivered.
