Acorn Digital Learning have been shortlisted for the BETT Awards

Acorn Digital Learning part of the Acorn Education division at Outcomes First Group, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the BETT Awards, within the category  ‘The Covid-19 Response Champions Awards – UK Companies’.

Acorn Digital Learning (ADL) was launched two years ago, following the recognition for the growing need to support vulnerable children and young people in alternative ways, adapting to the needs of the individual and improving stability within education.

When school closures were announced in March, a programme was put into place to roll out the ADL online live teaching platform to all our 45 specialist schools. This involved training over 750 teaching and support staff in the use of the online classroom and enrolling all 1,800 students and 750 teaching and support staff onto the ADL platform.

ADL were able to ensure a continuity of learning for young people, maintaining both structure to the school day and daily contact with their teachers, as well as helping to reduce student anxiety, improve wellbeing and performance for those who found the classroom challenging, continued therapeutic support and enabling teachers to adapt to new ways of teaching and develop new skills.

The winners of The Covid-19 Response Champions Awards categories will be announced at BettFest during a special online ceremony taking place at 5pm on Friday 22nd January 2021. Wishing the Team good luck!
