Acorn Digital Learning Shortlisted for the TES School Awards 2021

It’s been revealed today that Acorn Digital Learning, part of Acorn Education, has been shortlisted for the ‘Alternative Provision School of the Year’ award!

The TES School Awards acknowledge and celebrate the teachers, staff, teams and schools that are making a real difference to the lives of children and young people.

Acorn Digital Learning aims to remove any barriers to learning and transform educational outcomes by providing high-quality and innovative real-time online teaching for young people who require an alternative learning environment.

When school closures were announced in the first national lockdown, a programme was put into place to roll out the Acorn Digital Learning online live teaching platform to all Outcomes First Group’s 45 specialist schools.

Acorn Digital Learning trained over 900 teaching and support staff in the use of the online classroom in three weeks, delivered 34,500 lessons and registered 1,800 pupils in 3 days.

Huge congratulations to the ADL Team for being shortlisted.  The winners will be announced at an online awards ceremony on Friday 25th June- wishing the team good luck!
