Results Day 2024

Well done to all Acorn pupils and staff on an amazing set of qualifications achieved this year.

The pupils who have received their results in any formal qualification or award this year have shown great resiliency in their commitment to learning and therefore have achieved some exceptional outcomes:

• Acorn pupils achieved a total of 582 GCSEs (an increase from the 536 last year) in a wide variety of subjects. Some highlights include grade 7s achieved in Art, Computer Science, Maths and Music.
• 716 Functional Skills Qualifications were achieved (an increase from 641 last year) – predominantly in English and Maths, but also including ICT and Science. There were also an additional 308 other qualifications at levels 1 and 2.
• In addition, 685 entry-level and 118 pre-entry qualifications in a wide range of academic, vocational and life-skills subjects were achieved with most schools reporting a 100% Pass Rate.  This is a huge increase from previous years when in total Acorn students achieved 381 qualifications at these levels
• This year’s Acorn student achievements also include 4 Silver and 9 Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards
• And finally, there was incredible success at A-level with a Grade B in Maths and an Arts Award Gold.

This full range of qualifications means that every student has succeeded and achieved a portfolio of qualifications relevant to their skills, interests and future plans. Results Day gives us the chance to celebrate not only the formal qualifications but also all the other ways that our young people have developed during their time at Acorn Education and the huge progress they have made towards their next steps.

We are so proud of all our pupils, and we wish our leavers a fond farewell and best wishes for their future endeavours.
