Welcome to Fieldstone School – A New Chapter for SFIT
We’re excited to share that School for Inspiring Talents (SFIT) has officially relaunched as Fieldstone School, complete
At Acorn Education, we believe that every young person deserves the chance to build a future they’re excited about. That’s why our schools go beyond traditional learning – we empower pupils to discover what they love, develop their talents, and turn their passions into purposeful futures.
A key part of this journey is our dedicated Futures Team. Working closely with each pupil, they provide tailored careers advice and practical support – helping students identify their aspirations, build confidence, and take clear, achievable steps toward meaningful employment or further study after school.
We’re proud to share just a few inspiring stories that show how our approach makes a real difference.
From Aspiring Artist to Future SEN Teacher – Wetheringsett Manor School
Student H always had a passion for art, but it was her caring nature and a meaningful work experience placement that helped her realise she wanted to become a Special Educational Needs (SEN) art teacher.
From Year 9, our team supported her through every stage – arranging college visits, helping her build an impressive portfolio, and running mock interviews to build her confidence. Her dedication and talent secured her a place on her dream college course, where she’s now thriving as a student ambassador. She’s also joined our new alumni network and continues to inspire others with her story.
Skating Toward Stardom – Crookhey Hall School
Josh discovered his passion for figure skating during an outdoor education lesson at Crookhey Hall School – and it changed the course of his life.
Alongside gaining qualifications in Catering, Music and Law, Josh honed his skating skills outside of school, even visiting Disney on Ice for an unforgettable day with professional performers. After leaving school, he pursued Performing Arts at college and has since appeared in several shows, including the grand opening of Lancaster’s Ice Rink. He continues to audition and follow his dreams, proving that with the right support, passions discovered at school can flourish into lifelong pursuits.
Baking Up a Bright Future – Longdon Hall School
CB first shared his ambition to work in the food industry back in Year 9 – and the Futures Team at Longdon Hall School was quick to help him turn that dream into a plan.
With encouragement and guidance, CB pursued food-related subjects, earned a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, and gained hands-on experience working in the school kitchen. He even took part in a taster day at his chosen college to get a real feel for the professional environment. Now in Year 11, CB is excited to begin a bakery course and take his next step toward a successful culinary career.
Every young person is unique – and so are their goals. Whether it’s through creative opportunities, work placements, college preparation, or simply the encouragement to dream big, our schools are committed to helping every pupil find their path.
With the continued support of our Futures Team, we’ll keep guiding young people to believe in themselves, break down barriers, and move toward a future filled with possibility.
